Frequency-Domain Analysis of Spin Motion Using Modulated-Gradient NMR

چکیده
In pulsed-gradient spin-echo NMR, one measures the disof rotational dipolar auto-correlation spectral density via the ‘‘probe’’ of the spin relaxation times, where T1 samples at placement of nuclear spins over the time interval, D, between two gradient pulses, of duration d and amplitude g , positions v0 and 2v0 , while T1r samples at v1 and 2v1 . The purpose of the present Communication is to demonplaced in the dephasing and rephasing evolution periods of a spin-echo RF pulse sequence. For sufficiently narrow grastrate an implementation of the frequency-domain analysis using two different modulation waveforms for the effective dient pulses, the experiment is nicely described in terms of a scattering wave-vector formalism so that the echo ampligradient. We term this method frequency-domain analysis of spin motion using modulated-gradient NMR (FD-MGtude is inherently acquired in a time–wave-vector domain as NMR). We note that the use of oscillating gradients to probe molecular motion has been recently reported by Wang et al. (4) . That approach, originally suggested in Refs. (1–3) , E(q , D) Å * `

Spectral characterization of diffusion in porous media by the modulated gradient spin echo with CPMG sequence.
Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill train of radiofrequency pulses applied to spins in the constant magnetic field gradient is an efficient variant of the modulated magnetic field gradient spin echo method, which provides information about molecular diffusion in the frequency-domain instead in the time-domain as with the two-pulse gradient spin echo. The frequency range of novel technique is broad enough...
متن کاملAutocorrelation Spectra of Air-Fluidized Granular System by the NMR Spin Echo
NMR technique of modulated gradient spin echo makes possible to measure the power spectra of displacement and velocity autocorrelation functions of the air-fluidized granular beds. The obtained frequency distribution of displacement and velocity spectra at different degrees of fluidization leads to an empiric formula that well-fits to the experimental data and gives negative long-range tail of ...
متن کاملA simple model for the influence of motion on the NMR line shape
A problem as old as NMR is that of the influence of motion on the shape of the NMR absorption signal, or equivalently the shape of the FID. Although it is known that motion means narrowing, only two limiting cases are well defined. In the rigid solid, one has a clean theoretical expression for the FID function, in terms of the secular part 3TSS of the spin-spin interactions, most of the time es...
متن کاملA Novel Temporal-Frequency Domain Error Concealment Method for Motion Jpeg
Motion-JPEG is a common video format for compression of motion images with highquality using JPEG standard for each frame of the video. During transmission through a noisychannel some blocks of data are lost or corrupted, and the quality of decompression frames decreased. In this paper, for reconstruction of these blocks, several temporal-domain, spatial-domain, andfrequency-domain error conceal...
متن کاملMagnetic Resonance in Medicine
Up to now, various methods have been proposed for spatial mapping of a spin distribution using NMR. Several of these methods use field gradient time modulation for high-speed data acquisition. One such method is the well-known echo-planar imaging ( I , 2). With this method, spin distributions can be imaged with a single spinecho train induced by one 90" pulse application. However, the method im...
